Days 12, 13, 14, 15, 16

Good Evening.

Firstly I apologise for the lack of updates recently. Been super busy, but haven't caved in yet! I also need some advice at the end of this so please keep reading.

We'll start with Friday. Boxercise was crazy. Absolutely knackering but what a workout. I was completely drained at the end, and I was pleased with that. Chicken breasts were the order of the day on Friday. Lovely stuff. The key is certainly in the seasoning, but in the right amounts of course. I bought the steakhouse sprinkle stuff which works a treat.

Saturday was the rest day but I made a stir fry. It was the cat's pyjamas and fast becoming one of my favourite meals. I think the rest day made me lazy though... I haven't really got in the swing again since Friday. I played footy on Sunday, but I always put 110% into that. But at the gym on Monday, I didn't feel motivated whatsoever. Plus, my friend gave me a lift and didn't stay to the time I usually do. However, I can only press on and try and dig deep. Monday was chilli and froze some for Thursday.

Tonight was Thai boxing. Was a good workout but a poor turnout meant that we didn't really do as much fitness as usual. My technique is getting slightly better though.

So, on a parting note, again please forgive me for my lax approach this weekend. However, I am going to Green Man festival this weekend, but I need advice. What should I do food wise? What should I be taking with me to ensure I don't put weight back on, or what should I be buying there?

Any suggestions please don't hesitate to comment.

Time to get back on track.

Day 11 - Weight Update

Wow...

What a workout at Thai Boxing. Really picked myself up and worked really hard. Before I go any further I'd like to thank Mark Evans and Dom Salisbury for their advice. The fact people are wanting to contribute and put ideas forward means a hell of a lot. Thanks a lot to you all.

First thing this morning was granola again. Standard. Got straight off to uni for a swim. Was up there for around an hour and got myself sorted for the day. Dissertation work and haircut and I was ready for tea by six o'clock. I cooked up the frozen chilli from Saturday's cook and it was boss.

Now for the best news. Since Tuesday I've lost three pounds. Now, forgive me for thinking so, but surely if I've done that in two days then I must have lost a fair bit in this week and a half? What a clown for not weighing myself first off. I won't rest on that though, must work even harder. I know the weight will start falling off at a lesser rate sometime soon so I must knuckle down.

Thai boxing was fantastic tonight. I really tried to push myself despite my foot and I really felt the benefits. There were the fitness drills but also some pad calling. The intensity was huge and afterward I felt great. Need to work on my roundhouse technique though.

As far as we go, votes are still coming in as far as the exercise is concerned. Please keep voting and get more people to vote if you can. Anyone on twitter or other blogs or even facebook, get some links flying about. And to those who haven't if you could become a follower of this blog, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for checking up and have a great night!

Chris

Friday's Exercise

Hi Guys,

A bit short notice this one, but here's another opportunity to decide how I exercise tomorrow. What do you reckon... to either Boxercise, Swimming or Running.

Now... running may be a problem with the foot, but it's not playing up today and may be fine for tomorrow. I've heard Boxercise is a great workout but swimming is still an option.

Check the poll to the right of the blog and get the votes in. Vote yourself to vote, and get others involved too!

Off to Thai Boxing now. Let's hope I have a better night there. I will update on today upon my return.

Cheers

Chris

Day 10

Sorry for the late update.

It was a pretty standard day. Exactly the same as the day before food wise, but for dinner it was grilled chicken breasts and yoghurt afterwards. I'm coming up with new stuff to cook all the time which is great. Did a really intense workout at the gym too, which perked me up from the day before. Wasn't feeling happy at all, but I managed to push myself and get a bit of pride back.

Weights before cardio is definately the way to go. However, how should i be doing weights for the purpose of weight loss? I was always told less weight and more reps. Is this right? Please get in touch. Anyway... I also managed fourty minutes of cardio too. I am starting to see differences but there's still so far to go.

If you have any more ideas on what I should do or eat please get in touch. Remember i want to lose a lot of weight, and preferably as quickly as possible. Ask your friends, relatives or whoever that may know. After all, this blog is also for you to contribute.

Thanks guys,

Chris

Day 9

Not too much to report. I feel a little disheartened after thai boxing. It's pretty annoying not being able to do alot and not nearly enough as I want. I know it's only the end of the first week but it's really annoying. I guess I just have to work even harder now. Weights now go before cardio thanks to advice from Will.

Breakfast

Granola and Yoghurt
Green Tea

Thought I'd combine the two today. Tasted good. Was a great start. Granola is really filling me up. It really combats hunger and makes me feel good for the rest of the day. I had to miss lunch again because of work, but I managed to make the greatest omlette I've ever had. And at my first attempt!

Recipe

Three Eggs, Whisked with around five tablespoons of water
Peppers
Mushrooms
Sliced Ham

I whisked the eggs and let them lie for a while. I fried off the mushrooms and peppers and added the ham towards the end. Then pour on the whisked eggs, pushing the sides in when the omlette is starting to set. Instead of flipping, put under the grill until golden brown on top. Add garlic salt and cayenne to taste and voila! It was excellent. I was pretty pleased with myself.

Thai boxing made me less pleased. It really hit home how much work I have to do. I feel miserable. My foot was acting up big time too so it only prevented me pushing myself. I will get it seen to and hopefully be able to move on. I need to get working much harder every day now.

I also finally weighed myself. fifteen stone three pounds. Let's start the countdown.

Goodnight

Chris

Day 8

Today was simple again.

I think I need some more variation. The work with my dissertation means I have to stick with what I know. The good thing with granola for breakfast though is that it fills you up so well. I had a bowl of that for breakfast with about three glasses of water. I guess just because you're on a diet, it doesn't mean you cant enjoy what you eat. It does help that I chose to eat the right things but I also enjoy them.

I was a the gym at midday today. I increased my cardio by another ten minutes today. This did mean I struggled with the weight because I was so tired by the end. This something I wanted some clarification on. Should cardio be pre or post weights? Please let me know.

Anyway, tonight I decided to be adventurous with dinner.

Dinner

Stir Fry Chicken and Vegetables
Yoghurt
Pepsi Max (Again, this is no sugar and no cals. But is it still right to drink? Greg swears by it, but please, let me know your thoughts.)

I fried off the chicken, mushrooms and peppers in a little olive oil and Tabasco. I then added beansprouts, shredded cabbage, onion and a few water chestnuts into the pan. Then some soy sauce and then my seasoning shakers of cayenne, garlic and celery salt. No noodles. Just this in a bowl. It was fantastic. I think I used a little too much soy but I drained a bit off, and it's a lesson learned.

This was my day. What do you think? If you have any input on my questions above please let me know. Thai boxing tomorrow. Should be interesting to see how I cope again. I do enjoy the intensity of workouts. Unless I came away feeling completely worn out then I don't feel I've done enough. Surely I'm going mad? Oh, and on another note, I've finally found people that are in Aber playing footy! Sundays are now football day. Can't wait to get going on that one.

Goodnight.

Chris

P.S.
Are there any recipes anyone could share with me? Something that involves minimum carbs and fat please. Thank you
